From pilot to ground — notes from SusHi Tech Tokyo 2026

On April 28, DTJ co-founder Brittany Arthur moderated Cutting-Edge Technologies Transforming Everything from the Field to Education on the Atrium Stage at SusHi Tech Tokyo 2026, Asia's largest innovation conference.
The conversation focused on what it takes to move past the proof-of-concept — how organizations design AI operations that take root on the ground. The panel brought together founders and operators from EdFusion, TechGALA, JINGS, tonari, NEI Japan, COGNITEE, and Darwin Ventures, working through custom AI built for the shape of a company's work, design thinking paired with engineering, ultra-low-latency telepresence, XR in education, and the talent pipelines underneath all of it.
This is the territory DTJ builds in. Turning a working pilot into an operation people actually use is the part we treat as the work itself.
